No consent, no magistrate judge

The Fifth Circuit concluded that a magistrate judge lacked jurisdiction to enter final judgment. The parties had conducted an entire wrongful-foreclosure case before a magistrate judge–but, early in the case, on the standard form, PNC expressly declined to allow trial by a magistrate judge.
